Action Creation is an association that offers to everyone the opportunity to learn and share the culture of soul music. For 10 years, Action Creation offers to everyone a place for expression and artistic exchanges on the theme of black American music.
The Sankofa Soul Contest is an international musical springboard that highlights Soul music artists. Each year, the Sankofa Soul Contest launches up to 120 singers from different countries in Europe.
The Sankofa Soul Contest was born from the encounter between Geno Young (music director of Erykah Badu from 1999 to 2004) and the organizers David Smite and Joby Smith.
Inspired in the mythical Sankofa Arts Café in Dallas (Texas) the idea of Sankofa Soul Contest was born with the desire to create a cultural and artistic bridge between France and the -United States.
Thus, the Sankofa Soul Contest springboard honors all the musical and human richness of the history of Soul and highlights the creativity of artists of the new generation.
