Adrian Cox Associates was formed in 1992 with the aim of being a centre of excellence for structural engineering design and conservation of historic buildings with civil engineering design in a building context. We are a small practice of structural engineers who actively pursue creative answers to complex structural problems. To achieve this we routinely utilise the latest structural analysis software, technical research and material developments. Our experience is that careful design and detailing is directly correlated with savings in build cost, improved sustainability, enhanced appearance and reduced risk. As a team we work repeatedly with clients and architects who recognise the value of our collaborative approach and we are privileged to be able to help them. This applies to projects, both large and small. Key Projects: Hintze Hall Project (Grade I) - £12m refurbishment of largest public gallery at the Natural History Museum completed 2017 with Casson Mann. Guildford Cathedral (Grade II*) - £7m (HLF) internal refurbishment works and external masonry repair works with Thomas Ford and Partners. Watts Gallery (Grade II*) - £4.2m (HLF) repair and refurbishment of the gallery with ZMMA. The gallery houses world’s biggest and most important collection of the paintings, drawings and sculptures of the Victorian artist George Frederic Watts (1817-1904). Heath Robbinson Museum, Pinner - £1.3m (HLF) new feature single storey timber framed gallery, completed 2016 with ZMMA.
