OUR OBJECTIVES
1.To bring together and represent all the members who request or who are in need to the concerned authorities
2.To identify the academic, school and socio- economic problems that they are facing;
3.To collaborate and cooperate with judicial authorities in order to prosecute the perpetrators of the Tutsis genocide in their respective regions
4.To promote the mutual support among the members
5.To cooperate with the public authorities of all levels for well-being of survivors especially Students
6.To collaborate with others physical and moral persons (national and international non- Governmental organizations) for the well-being of the members
7.To bury the remains of Genocide victims with respect and commemorate the memory of Tutsi genocide victims in Rwanda;
8.To collect, to keep memorial sites and the genocide testimonies or other information related to Genocide against Tutsi
9.To fight against the negative ideologies and action so that the Genocide will never happen Again in our country or elsewhere
10.To fight for safeguard of cultural, patriotic and moral values among the members.
The main mission of AERG is to connect and represent all student survivors (those whose parents and relatives were killed during Tutsi genocide) involved in higher learning or attending secondary school. Originally, AERG was founded as a support mechanism for genocide orphans studying at secondary and higher institutions. However, its role has now expanded to cover not only support systems (in the form of artificial families) and morale- boosting activities, but also to advocate for the ongoing needs of survivors, supporting them in education, with economic issues and onwards towards productive life.
AERG is now dedicated to providing financial support, moral help, fighting genocide ideology and ensuring that students overcome trauma, homelessness and financial problems.
