Based in Zurich, the African Professionals for Progress (APP) is a non-profit organization governed by its Articles and by Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code. The APP is not commercially, politically and religiously motivated. Its main goal is to create a global network of highly skilled and trained individuals from Africa, the Diaspora and African Descendant to leverage knowledge, know-how and skills for the benefit of Africa and its populations, be it on the continent or abroad. The APP particularly aims to: Create and maintain a strong and vibrant network to work towards its goals; Participate to the professional development of its members; Provide an effective platform for discussion and reflection that should bring about positive change for African populations globally; Provide mentoring for young Africans to facilitate and advance their academic and professional career; Organize and facilitate events that foster research, innovation and entrepreneurship; Push forward the African Intelligentsia globally. APP Mission African Professionals for Progress works to bring together skilled Africans, Afro-descendants and members of the diaspora to create a platform where transformative ideas can emerge. We share knowledge and experiences with members of the organization and wide audiences to inspire vocations and set examples through mentoring, seminars and support actions from individuals or organizations that align with our mission. By uniting good-willed people, using and promoting valuable skills, know-how and knowledge, we can contribute to the emergence of a global African intelligentsia that actively partake in the African journey into the future.
