AGB GROUp Ltd. integrates five companies each one of them dealing with agriculture within the Horehronie region. This region is situated in the heart of Slovakia and is a mountainous region. This feature has shaped the history of the region, agricultural procedures and the way of life.
The companies joined within AGB GROUP Ltd. Have a 60-year-old history and experience in agriculture. We provide jobs for more than 100 people, mainly form our region.
These companies combined manage the area of more than 3000 ha of agricultural land, while 85% of this area is grassland and 15% is arable land. Despite the size of the territory, we actively cooperate with other agricultural subjects in our area (small and big). We believe, it is necessary to join forces to achieve success in our field. The cooperation with other subjects is beneficial for all participants. Our strengths can be opportunities to rise for our partners and we can learn from our partners also. A more recent cooperation can be pointed out via the project proposal: Sustainable smart farming systems taking into account the future challenges (SMARTFARM) that includes several agricultural companies and the National Agriculture and Food Centre (NPPC) as the lead partner. This regional cooperation is mainly informal, but we are also the member of the Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber that spreads its activities nationwide.
