شرکت کاشی عقیق (سهامی خاص) در سال 1378 در زمینی به وسعت یکصد و پنجاه هزار مترمربع در 12 کیلومتری یزد در شهرستان اشکذر با هدف اولیه تولید سالیانه سه میلیون مترمربع کاشی تاسیس گردید و در این صنعت به عنوان اولین تولیدکننده کاشی منوپروزا (تک پخت ) قدم در راه تولید گذاشت.
با گذشت دو سال از راه اندازی این شرکت ، اقدام به توسعه ظرفیت های تولیدی خود نمود ، به گونه ای که پس از اجرای طرح توسعه مساحت کارخانه بالغ بر دویست و هفتاد و یک هزار مترمربع و ظرفیت نامی شرکت را به ماخذ دو برابر افزایش داد.
شرکت کاشی عقیق از سال 1391 تا سال 1396 همه خطوط را به دستگاه چاپ دیجیتال با امکانات به روز مجهز کرده تا بتواند همگام با تکنولوژی های جدید پیش برود به طوری که در حال حاضر هر 9 خط تولید این شرکت مجهز به چاپ دیجیتال است .
طی سالهای مختلف ، این شرکت همواره ، درگیر پروژه های مختلف ساخت و ساز و توسعه ، بوده است .
یکی از این پروژه ها تغییرتکنولوژی تولید شرکت از " منوپروزا "به " دو پخت " است که با صرف هزینه ای بالغ بر 000/000/000/250 ریال ، به منظور ارائه محصولات باکیفیت تر به مشتریان ،از مهر ماه سال 1394 شروع و در آبان ماه 96 ، به بهره برداری رسید. بعد از آن نیز پروژه های زیادی در جهت افزایش بالابردن کیفیت و کمیت تولید انجام شده است که می توان به پروژه های اضافه کردن بالمیل مدولار و اجرای خط پولیش در سال 1400 اشاره کرد .
