Begonnen als trader in boomschorsproducten heeft Agricon zich vandaag de dag ontwikkeld tot een toonaangevend producent en verdeler van producten van natuurlijke aard. Sinds begin 2023 is Agricon verhuisd naar een nieuwe site te Balen. Vanuit de missie 'werken aan een groenere wereld' overkoepelt de Agricon een reeks handels- en productieactiviteiten op basis van duurzame, natuurlijke producten waarvan het potentieel wordt benut. We concentreren ons op de productie van én groothandel in boomschors, premixsubstraten, bodembedekkers, siergrind, animal bedding en houtpellets als biobrandstof.
Agricon valoriseert de restproducten van Portugese, Franse, Duitse en Belgische zagerijen tot een functioneel en decoratief product.
De capaciteit van Agricon vandaag zorgt voor een prominente marktpositie als producent en trader. Niet alleen in de Benelux, Duitsland en Frankrijk, maar ook in delen van Scandinavië, Oost-Europa en zelfs Azië en Amerika. Voor de efficiënte verwerking, verpakking en distributie van ruim 550.000m³ productvolume per jaar, 40.000 ton houtpellets en een aanzienlijk tonnage aan animal bedding beschikt Agricon over professionele breek- en zeefinstallaties en zijn er 6 units met verpakkingsfaciliteiten beschikbaar.
