AI4POL is an EU-funded Horizon Europe research project that brings together an interdisciplinary group of experts to develop actionable insights and governance tools for AI. The project addresses several critical areas: 🔵 Next Generation AI Governance focuses on enabling secure and lawful data sharing, defining and monitoring self-preferencing in digital markets, and identifying online consumer manipulation to inform enforceable and resilient AI regulation. 🔵 AI-Powered Public Insight for Smarter, Citizen-Centric Regulation leverages AI technologies to make complex digital regulations more accessible to the public and provides structured feedback mechanisms to help regulators respond more effectively to citizens’ needs and experiences. 🔵 Trustworthy AI for Financial Services develops a policy toolkit based on mathematical risk models and ethical principles to help financial regulators identify, assess, and manage the risks of AI applications, while providing guidance to foster responsible innovation and maintain trust in the financial system 🔵 AI-Development and Institutional Constraints analyzes how global AI development capabilities interact with institutional governance structures and implements an AI Threat Index, focusing on China and Russia as proof of concept. ______________________________________________________ This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101177455.
