Società nata nel 1946, anno in cui un gruppo di appassionati, capeggiati da Cesare Rosina e Libero Como, diede vita alla società “Audace-Mino”.
Nel 1971 per iniziativa di alcuni ex giocatori e grazie all’interessamento dello scomparso Presidente del Dopolavoro Ferroviario Ferrero, che ha messo a disposizione le strutture e che lo ospita attualmente, è nata la “DLF Rugby”, in particolare furono alcuni ex giocatori di professione Ferrovieri come Zucconi, Caucia, Crociato e De Felici ad unirsi ad altri dell’ex Alessandria Rugby che dopo lo scioglimento nel 1968 erano andati a giocare nel Busalla.
L'Alessandria Rugby ha partecipato alla Serie A dal 1956 al 1958 e nel biennio successivo ai campionati professionistici di Rugby a XIII.
