ALIS (Association du Locked-In Syndrome) est une association créée en 1997 par le journaliste français Jean-Dominique Bauby, ALIS a été reconnue d'utilité publique par décret du 20 août 2016.
Son objectif sur le long terme est de trouver des solutions de vie adaptées aux personnes atteintes par le LIS et de .faire avancer la recherche sur le locked-in syndrome.
Un axe majeur de l'association est de proposer aux personnes Locked-in syndrome des solutions technologiques qui leur permettent de sortir de leur enfermement, telles que des ordinateurs à commande oculaire.
Professeur Jacques-Yvon Pelissier est le Président d'ALIS depuis septembre 2021, Véronique Blandin en est la Déléguée générale et Docteur Frédéric Pellas en est le Président du comité scientifique.
