Sufosec, die Schweizer Allianz für nachhaltige Ernährung weltweit, ist ein Bündnis von sechs NGOs der internationalen Zusammenarbeit. Ihr gemeinsames Ziel ist es, Hunger und Mangelernährung nachhaltig zu reduzieren, indem lokale Ernährungssysteme und Gemeinschaften auf der Basis agrarökologischer Methoden gestärkt werden. Die Zusammenarbeit besteht seit 2020 und wird kontinuierlich vertieft; sie führt die komplementären Expertisen und Erfahrungen aller Akteurinnen und Akteure in Nord und Süd zusammen und schafft Synergien für einen effizienten Mitteleinsatz. Die Wirkung wird systematisch überprüft und verbessert.
Die Allianz-Organisationen sind Fastenaktion, SWISSAID, Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Suisse, Vivamos Mejor, Aqua Alimenta und Skat Foundation. Zurzeit sind diese in insgesamt über 450 Projekten in von Armut betroffenen Ländern des globalen Südens tätig – in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Organisationen der lokalen Zivilgesellschaft. Gemeinsam wollen sie die Ziele der Uno-Agenda 2030 in Bezug auf Hunger und Mangelernährung in den beteiligten Projektgebieten erreichen.
Die Allianz wird im Rahmen der Programmbeiträge von der Direktion für Entwicklung und Zusammenarbeit (DEZA) finanziell unterstützt.
