אנחנו כאן מתוך תחושת שליחות ואמונה, שהנכחת הנושא של אלימות במשפחה על סדר היום והנגשתו תוביל לעלייה בפניות לעזרה כי כפי שציינו , הדרך הבטוחה היחידה להתמודד עם מערכת יחסים אלימה היא באמצעות עזרה מקצועית.
אלמה הוקמה ופועלת באמצעות שיתופי פעולה בין האגף לשירותים חברתיים, הרשות לביטחון קהילתי ומשטרת מסובים.
Alma is a group of women volunteers from Yehud-Monson, who learned about the complexity of domestic violence and wish to be a community resource for any man or woman, child or adolescent, who is in the cycle of domestic violence. Through Alma, they will be listened to and referred to a professional for further support. This is based on the assumption that in a domestic violence situation, professionals are needed in order to deal with the complexity of the problem, especially in light of the close emotional connection between the couple and the children.
Alma was established to help the Community Resources Unit, in the Municipality’s Department of Social Services, in their mission to professionally deal with the phenomenon of domestic violence. As such, it works in full collaboration with the Division of Social Services, the Community Security Authority, and the Israel Police.
We volunteer with a sense of mission and faith that educating the community about domestic violence will increase the number of help inquiries because as mentioned above, the only safe way to leave a toxic relationship is with the help of a professional.
