AlphaXpeditions is an eco-tour operator opening for business this summer with its first travel offering: taking clients safely swimming with or scuba diving with sharks in the wild, outside of the cage. Led by David Ulloa, known to his friends as The Shark Whisperer, clients will learn many fascinating behavioral traits of sharks, together with the critical ecological value sharks bring to maintaining the delicate balance of the Earth’s oceans -- all while enjoying direct contact experiences in the water with these apex predators. Most importantly, clients will come away with a new understanding of what it is like to set meaningful, effective boundaries while treating others with dignity, kindness, and respect. We’ve learned when people do that with sharks, doors for communication and understanding fly open, allowing them to take new skills back home, where those skills are manifested in improved relationships with friends, colleagues and family. In the future, AX intends to offer additional eco-tour destinations, from the plains of Africa to the rainforests of the Amazon.
