Our first challenge is the conservation of the Angaiza Forest that extends across 8,031.69 hectares of forests in the District of Pinto Recodo, Lamas and District of Moyobamba, Moyobamba, San Martín. It is home to flora species such as Tornillo, mahogany and red cedar, as well as fauna species: sachavaca, red deer and sajino. As well as 15 communities, in particular five indigenous communities Wayku, Shukshuyacu, Chumbakiwi, Alto Juanjuisillu and Naranjal. It includes yunga ecosystems that are home to endemic vascular plant species, primates and other species in a vulnerable state (Ateles belzebuth, Tremarctu sornatus, Tapirus terrestris, among others). Both the conservation of forests, as well as the culture and well-being of our communities are the pillars of our institution and the main motivation of each of our efforts that we hope will be shared with you to make our planet a better place to inherit.
