Gemeinsam entwickelten sie so ein Material, das, im Gegensatz zu konventionellem Leder, ressourcenschonend und vollkommen giftfrei produziert wird. In ihrem Labor wächst seitdem mit Amberskin ein pflanzliches Leder auf Basis von Pilzkulturen. Der organische Werkstoff kann dabei in beliebiger Größe innerhalb von zwei Monaten hergestellt werden und hat bereits erste Taschen- und Modedesigner*innen als Abnehmer*innen gefunden.
