Ideen bak selskapet og produktene ble påtenkt allerede i 1991. Dette året, og i årene som fulgte, var det flere som omkom på sørlandskysten fordi båten de var om bord i sank. Det var særlig et forlis på Kvåsefjorden, noen nautiske mil øst for Kristiansand, som fikk grunnlegger av Antisink, Geir E. Karlsen, til å tenke på en måte å holde båter som tok inn vann flytende. Vi har nå utviklet flere produkter som vil redde båter 0 til 85 fot som vil komme på markedet veldig snart.
Det ble med tanken den gangen, men nedgangstider i oljebransjen i 2016 gjorde at Karlsen, i likhet med flere tusen andre i næringen, mistet jobben. Han tok da frem ideen om Antisink igjen, og i januar 2017 etablerte han selskapet. Senere er vi blitt flere på laget til Antisink, og vi vil lansere våre første produkter nå i 2022.
