APTO – Arquitetura was created in 2015 with the commission of the project to reform and expand Braga Public Parket after its founding partners won the 1st place in the ideas competition. The current company’s structure and configuration is only achieved in 2019 and since then it focuses in projects in the sectors of single and collective housing, hospitality and tourism, commercial and services, and urbanism.
The work we develop, rather than being recognizable for a defined and static aesthetic, settles its posture in the communication and comprehension of the client/user and in a train of though that starts by being analytical and investigative for the assertion and systematization of each challenge's potentials and constrains, to become audacious and pragmatic in the search for a unique and adapted solution that will balance itself in the line between continuity and disruption.
The final product of this practice congregates, whenever required, the work of multidisciplinary teams through partnerships with other architects, engineers, landscape and interior designers, as well as with construction foremen, in a collaborative and iterative way.
