Arcadia is gespecialiseerd in de teelt en vermarkting van pluischrysanten.
Per jaar worden 50 miljoen takken van hoge kwaliteit geproduceerd. Het assortiment is breed met nieuwe soorten en aangepast aan het seizoen.
We zijn continu op zoek naar innovatieve vormen en kleuren.
Deze zoektocht gaat in samenwerking met veredelingsbedrijven.
Dit heeft al geresulteerd in het twee jaar op rij winnen van de Glazen Tulp Award in de categorie snijbloemen.
Deze prijs reikt FloraHolland jaarlijks uit aan de mooiste nieuwe snijbloem van het jaar.
Arcadia beschikt over vijf teeltlocaties met een totale oppervlakte van 20 hectare.
In het Westland zijn er drie vestigingen in De Lier en één in Kwintsheul. De vijfde vestiging is in De Kwakel, vlak onder Aalsmeer. Hierdoor zitten we met onze locaties dicht bij de twee grootste distributiecentra van FloraHolland. De aflevering van bestellingen aan klanten is daardoor in korte tijd te realiseren.
Arcadia levert product op alle vestigingen van veiling FloraHolland. Naast Aalsmeer en Naaldwijk zijn dat Rijnsburg, Venlo, Eelde en de bloemistenklok op FloraHolland Naaldwijk.
De chrysanten gaan eveneens naar Bloemenveiling Plantion in Ede en Veiling Rhein Maas in Straelen(Duitsland). Regelmatig doen we een rondje langs de klanten om te vernemen wat hun wensen en behoeftes zijn. Door een goed contact kunnen we klantgericht werken en de klant ontzorgen.
Arcadia produceert de chrysanten markt- en klantgericht. Voor de afzet richten we ons voornamelijk op leveranties naar het buitenland. De bloemen gaan zowel naar landen in Oost- als West-Europa. De afzet naar het buitenland doen we zoveel mogelijk in samenwerking met importeurs en exporteurs.
Arcadia is maatschappelijk verantwoord bezig. Duurzaamheid staat bij ons hoog in het vaandel. Regelmatig doen we proeven, zoals voor het energiezuinig telen. Hierdoor lopen we voorop in Het Nieuwe Telen, waarmee we zowel de techniek als de teelt willen optimaliseren.
