Sinds 2016 brengt ARTHOOD creatieven samen om te delen, te sparren en van elkaar te blijven leren. De focus is hierbij door de jaren steeds meer gaan liggen op sociaal maatschappelijke thema’s rondom mentale gezondheid, zoals eenzaamheid, individualisme en identiteit. Vandaag de dag onderzoeken wij met onze community en makers wat het belang is van creativiteit, empathie en kwetsbaarheid bij vraagstukken rondom deze welzijnsthema's.
ARTHOOD streeft naar een toename van menswaarden in onze samenleving. We behandelen thema’s rondom mentaal welzijn middels evenementen, Art Therapy Sessies, exposities en media.
Zo hebben we bijvoorbeeld onze Vouwkranten (in samenwerking met OBA), podcast reeksen en fotoseries uitgebracht. Tegenwoordig focussen we ons voornamelijk op Art Therapy Sessies waarbij deelnemers leren hoe zij creativiteit kunnen inzetten om emoties te voelen, ruimte te geven en te uiten. Onze missie is meer prioriteit voor mentaal welzijn door dit op een creatieve en laagdrempelige manier bespreekbaar te maken.
ARTHOOD COLLECTIVE heeft met onder andere Rijksmuseum, OBA, Stedelijk Museum, Sexyland, Stadsarchief en Gemeente Amsterdam samen gewerkt.
