ARTS IN MEDICINE PROJECTS
Arts in Medicine Projects aim to use diverse forms of artistic expressions to facilitate healing and hope for patients and their caregivers in healthcare centers and hospitals. We believe images, music, nature and creative words are powerful tools in uplifting the spirit of sick persons. There is increasing evidence that the display of visual art, especially images of nature, can have positive effects on health outcomes, including shorter length of stay in hospitals, increased pain tolerance and decreased anxiety. The idea that art may have potential positive benefits in healthcare is not new and has been recognized by artists and healthcare professionals alike.

Mission: Using arts to build positive relationship between patients, caregivers and healthcare workers to discover happiness, find hope and experience healing in the hospital or healthcare spaces. We are driven by passion to promote good health and well being of the Sustainable Development Goal 3.
HOW WE OPERATE
We partner with local and international NGOs , local and international Academic institutions, Government agencies, faith based organizations, civic societies, diplomatic missions, healthcare institutions, arts communities, Philanthropists, Private and Corporate Organizations to facilitate.
Over the years we have worked with different persons (children and adult) which spans from people living with sickle cell anemia, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mental illnesses and neurological disorders. Tools of engagement includes painting, music, crafts, storytelling, creative writing, social networking, community participation.
