Arul Chew & Partners came into existence on 6 January 1996 and the firm is a full-service firm undertaking litigation (both criminal and civil), corporate work as well as arbitration, mediation and conveyancing work. The firm has been involved in all levels of litigation in the Subordinate Courts, High Court including the Court of Appeal as well as statutory and other tribunals including disciplinary tribunals of professional bodies and clubs/unincorporated associations and appeals/reviews therefrom and arbitration and mediation involving both local and international parties. Some decisions have been reported in the local and foreign media. The firm deals with foreign law firms in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, particularly in Malaysia, Thailand, Yemen, The United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Germany and has instructed Queen’s Counsel in England, New Zealand and Australia.
