Asante Sanaa bringt ostafrikanische Kunst nach Deutschland und unterstützt damit tansanische Künstler*innen in der Corona Krise. Mit bedruckten T-Shirts wird die erste Tanzanian Streetart Ausstellung geschaffen, die über unsere Straßen wandert. Gemeinsam können wir die beeindruckende Kunst aus Afrika bewundern und dabei etwas Gutes tun. Darüber hinaus erschaffen wir eine kulturelle Verbindung, die – auch in Krisenzeiten – ein Zeichen für Zusammenhalt und Solidarität setzt und Grenzen überwindet.
Durch das Ausbleiben des Tourismus infolge der Corona-Pandemie haben die Künstler*innen massive Probleme, ihren Lebensunterhalt zu bestreiten. Daher haben wir im September 2020 Asante Sanaa mit dem Ziel gegründet, noch im Dezember 2020 eine Crowdfunding Kampagne zur Unterstützung tansanischer Künstler*innen zu starten.
Nach dem erfolgreichen Funding auf Startnext, sollen nun weitere Kollektionen kreiert werden, um die Verbindung der deutsch-tansanischen Kultur zu stärken und noch mehr talentierte Künstler*innen zu fördern und zu unterstützen.
Darüber hinaus achten wir auch beim Bezug unserer T-Shirts oder Hoodies darauf, dass diese in enger Zusammenarbeit in Kenia und Tansania hergestellt werden und nutzen nachhaltig zertifizierte Bio Baumwolle.
