ReFuel Energy's fuel station was the first in North America to utilize anaerobic digestion technology to create renewable natural gas for transportation fuel. Anaerobic Digestion is the process of micro organisms breaking down biodegradable materials to produce gas. The gas is the cleaned, dryed and compressed for everyone to use in any natural gas vehicle.
By creating renewable transportation fuel via anaerobic digestion - not only able to reduce our green house gas emissions - we are actively pulling pollutants out of air. How? Because instead of allowing naturally occurring methane to release into the atmosphere, we are capturing it and utilizing it for the fleets of our customers.

Our parent company - Atlas Disposal - has been using natural gas for a decade in our fleet of refuse & hauling trucks with no plans on looking back.
