Amsterdam UMC Genoomdiagnostiek (AGDx) is het DNA-laboratorium van de afdeling en bevindt zich in het Research & Diagnostiek Centrum ADORE (nabij VUmc). Het laboratorium biedt diagnostiek voor erfelijke (zeldzame) ziekten en is specialist op het gebied van hart- en vaatziekten, oncologie, gynaecologie, preconceptie & dragerschapsscreening, endocrinologie, oogheelkunde, neurologie en psychiatrie.
Het AGDx is o.a. gekoppeld aan de expertisecentra: Amsterdam Lysosoom Centrum ('Sphinx'), Nederlands Centrum voor Peroxisomale aandoeningen, Expertisecentrum Vasculaire Geneeskunde, Centrum voor Genetische Metabole Ziekten, Centrum voor Neuromusculaire Ziekten, Centrum voor Schildklieraandoeningen, Expertisecentrum voor Zeldzame Botziekten.
