Die Austrian Data Center Association (ADCA) ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der sich als Interessensvertretung österreichischer Rechenzentrumsbetreiber begreift.
Im Rahmen seiner allgemeinen Zielsetzung übernimmt der Verein folgende Aufgaben:
• Stärkung der wirtschaftlichen und rechtlichen Position der Mitglieder, insbesondere Stärkung des Standorts Österreich als Sitz für die Entwicklung und Präsenz von Rechenzentren;
• Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten der Mitglieder im Markt, insbesondere zur Anerkennung und Entwicklung einer starken und international unabhängigen Rechenzentrumsbranche in Österreich;
• Gemeinsames Auftreten gegenüber der Öffentlichkeit, nationalen, supranationalen und internationalen Behörden und Gesetzgebungsorganen, Verbänden und sonstigen Einrichtungen, - direkt und durch Presse- und Medienarbeit;
• Erarbeitung und Abstimmung der gemeinsamen Interessen der Mitglieder
• Förderung des Erfahrungs- und Informationsaustausches
• Internationale Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Vereinen, Verbänden und Organisationen der Branche;
• Zusammenarbeit mit Bildungseinrichtungen für die Ausbildung von Fachpersonal in diesem Sektor; sowie
• Die Sicherung eines lauteren Wettbewerbs.
