AutiQuest is dedicated to helping those with autism achieve more in their lives, especially with regards to getting and maintaining employment. We are passionate about supporting autistic individuals, 16+ years old. I feel for them as many "fall off a cliff" when leaving school or college and start making their way in the world, getting jobs, getting housing, dealing with new social situations etc. Failure in these areas can lead to isolation and mental health problems, depression etc.
Our App is designed to help autistic individuals over this interview hurdle, as well as help interviewers get the best out of them. We believe that there is currently no other App out there that addresses this situation. The multifunctional App contains 100s of tips, over 100,000 words, covering such areas as body language; eye contact; speaking (especially keeping on track and selling oneself); phone screening; handling questions (especially those with no clear context); sensory and information overload; anxiety and disclosure. It also has useful audio/video resources, pre-loaded email templates to help with confirming the interview and requesting post-interview feedback and autism friendly, linear checklists. You can even set the background colour. The App enables the user to organise their interviews and write their own notes. The App is also useful for interviewers and there is a huge 10,000 word section explaining how autistic candidates present, and why, and what can be done by making simple accommodations.
