Al bijna honderd jaar wroeten we met onze handen in de aarde en komen we op voor de belangen van volkstuinders. Voluit luisteren we naar de naam het Algemeen Verbond van Volkstuindersverenigingen in Nederland, maar noem ons gerust AVVN. Dat doen we zelf ook. Onze familie is in al die jaren flink gegroeid. Inmiddels helpen we iedereen met een groen hart met natuurlijk tuinieren. Of dat nou in de achtertuin, een buurttuin of in een volkstuin is. Wij delen onze groenkennis en maken samen tuinieren nog makkelijker én leuker.
Of je nou een siertuin, pluktuin, moestuin of een bijvriendelijke voortuin wilt, AVVN helpt je. Wij geven praktische tips over natuurlijk tuinieren, bieden leerzame en inspirerende workshops en lezingen en brengen je in contact met andere groenliefhebbers. Stekjes ruilen, zaden uitwisselen, samen aan de slag met buurtgroen: wij helpen je met organiseren.
Waarom?
Groen doen, is altijd goed. Zeker als je het samen doet. AVVN maakt zich sterk voor het behoud en uitbreiding van groen in de woonomgeving. In iedere wijk, dorp of stadsdeel in Nederland willen we samen kunnen tuinieren. Elkaar ontmoeten, leren kennen en samenwerken in de buurt, doe je het beste in een tuin. Tuinieren verbindt, is goed voor ieders gezondheid en verbetert het humeur. Je begrijpt waarom wij altijd het zonnetje in huis zijn ;-).
