Company Profile: The MARBLE FACTORY LTD. (TMF) is a private Canadian company founded in 1976. The initial owners were Ron and Dyanne Martin and current owner is Iksil Group Inc. TMF is a manufacturer of cast polymer Marble, Onyx, Granite bath and kitchen plumbing fixtures. TMF is a also the manufacturer of POLYSTONE solid surface counter tops. The company's head office and manufacturing plant are located in a new 13,000 square foot building they own at 51 Scurfield Blvd. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The company's full time staff of 12 to 15 experts is supplemented with part time and contract as required for project work. PRODUCT MANUFACTURED: Cast polymer MARBLE, ONYX and GRANITE bath and kitchen ware. - Vanity tops, standard and custom sizes - Bath tubs and whirlpools - Whirlpool wall splashes, decking, steps and skirting - Shower bases, wall panelling and tub surrounds - Recessed and surface mounted soap dishes and shampoo shelves. - Toilet, low profile, one piece, 2.5 gal. - Fireplace fronts and hearths - POLYSTONE solid surface countertops, 3/4" standard thickness. - Commerical counter tops for Banks, Restaurants, Hospitals, Retail and Office buildings - Mausoleum crypt covers (interior only) - Cremation urns - Epoxy Laboratory counter tops (acid, chemical and heat resistant. All products that require C.S.A. (Canadian Standards Association) certification are certified and manufactured from the highest quality raw materials available. Products are continually tested by independent labs to ensure consistent high quality. We also are associate members of The Manitoba Home Builder's Association and members or the International Cast Polymer Association, ICPA, the governing body of the cast polymer industry in North America and around the world. Research and development on new products styles and colours is an ongoing process. The company is determined current and ahead of the competition in an industry that is determined to keep its products current and ahead of the competition in an industry that is constantly evolving. The company markets its products through a network of distributors and dealers throughout most of Canada. It does some exporting to the U.S.A., Japan and Scotland. TMF is interested in expanding its market in the U.S.. and to European and Asian countries. Approximately 10% is exported to other countries. TMF has done consulting work for a large new Cast Marble plant in Russia. This work consisted of an extensive technical report on a proposal from a USA company that manufactures and installs equipment and molds for such plants. The plant has proceeded with all recommendations in the report. TMF is also interested in pursuing Manufacturing agreements under licence, Technology Transfer/Sharing, Management Contracting and consulting work.
