The history of Axis71 starts in 1971, in the center of Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris - France). In 2001 Mr. Patrick Vossen takes over the company. He keeps the company's name which has an exquisite reputation and adds the number 71, a reference to the year of birth of Axis. . He sees the necessity to reposition. Design stays of course the « core business »but the « playful » objects, with a short life cycle are progressively replaced by lighting and furniture.
