Babs Art Gallery nasce da un'idea di Barbara Lo Bianco collezionista, amante e studiosa dell'arte contemporanea.
Il concept di questo progetto si differenzia totalmente da quello delle altre gallerie: l'arte non è più solo qualcosa da vedere e da ammirare ma anche da portare sempre con se'.
La galleria ha come obiettivo quello di lavorare insieme agli artisti per realizzare gioielli che sono in realtà sculture da indossare non necessariamente legate al valore della materia quanto alla creatività. Le opere: sculture, fotografie, dipinti, sono il punto di partenza di questo percorso artistico mentre i gioielli sono il punto d'arrivo.
Il programma prevede una serie di mostre ogni anno a cui parteciperanno artisti italiani e stranieri (da Jessica Carroll ad Antonio Paradiso, da Orna Ben Ami ad Alex Pinna, da Chiara Dynys a Riccardo Gusmaroli ed Enzo Isaia) in cui le opere dell’artista cui viene dedicata la mostra dialogano con le sculture da indossare create in esclusiva per la galleria.
