BDUG was founded in 1982 by representatives from several regional bank participants of DTCC. Since then, BDUG has developed into a leading organization for the bank depository community. Today, BDUG has over 25 member organizations, representing Trust Banks of all sizes, including major custodians. Join BDUG to be part of a dynamic community that shapes the future of bank depository operations.
BDUG’s mission statement is to increase the information flow between DTCC and its participant banks, provide DTCC's management with input related to their procedures, policies and operations, and promote a spirit of cooperation and goodwill among BDUG members and DTCC.
BDUG members participate in a community that shares industry best practices throughout the year. BDUG members can ask questions and share knowledge with the rest of the community via our online groupsite and LinkedIn. DTCC and other industry participants hold webinars throughout the year exclusively for BDUG members.
Each fall, BDUG organizes a widely attended conference in Florida for Members, DTCC representatives, Regulators, and Industry Vendors. Members who attend the conference earn continuing education credits to maintain their Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) and Certified Trust Operations Professional (CTOP).
