Onze naam, BarakaTree, is niet zomaar gekozen. Het is geïnspireerd door een prachtige metafoor uit de Koran (14:24-25), waarin een “goed woord” wordt vergeleken met een goede boom. Een boom met een stevige wortel die diep in de grond is verankerd, en takken die hoog reiken naar de hemel. Deze boom geeft voortdurend vruchten voort, ongeacht het seizoen, met de toestemming van zijn Schepper.
Deze metafoor belichaamt precies wat wij nastreven: investeren in projecten die stevig geworteld zijn in ethische principes, groeien op een duurzame manier, en vrucht dragen voor alle betrokkenen – nu en in de toekomst.
