Barkle’s origin was inspired by a recommendation by Dr. Walter Cohen, former Dean of the University of Pennsylvania's Dental school, who recognized a pressing need for a solution to combat periodontal infection in dogs.

On a Mission: Barkle, led by our CEO, Byron J. Kerr, and Chief Science Officer, Dr. Henry Crosetti, has undertaken a mission to confront the epidemic of periodontal disease in dogs by educating the public about the reality of the disease while acknowledging the impracticality of daily brushing and expensive cleanings under anesthesia.
We envision a future where the seamless incorporation of daily application becomes a routine for pet owners, under the supervision of a veterinarian. The mission of Barkle is to encourage pet owners, breeders and shelters to emphasize how important daily oral healthcare is for pets as a major part of the pet owner's responsibilities.
Future Outlook:
Barkle aspires to redefine canine oral care, establishing daily prevention as the new standard. The envisioned future includes the introduction of an easily accessible at-home diagnostic device for the early detection of infections, fostering positive and proactive oral health for our furry companions.
