How can something as important as achieving societal sustainable development not be on everyone’s agenda? The United Nations has been known to encourage growth and development among member nations most especially developing and third world countries through relentless efforts in striving to achieve the seventeen (17) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) coupled with its one hundred and sixty nine (169) targets. The inter-linkages and integrated nature of the Sustainable Development Goals are of crucial importance in ensuring that the purpose of the new Agenda is realized. If we realize our ambitions across the full extent of the Agenda, the lives of all will be profoundly improved and our world will be transformed for the better. Unleash the SDGs is an initiative to drive aggressive grassroots awareness campaign for the achievement of these goals by the key strategy of getting everyone in every nook and cranny of world involved using major languages and incentives to motivate young people to creatively get involved. Unleash The SDGs provide a means to ensure that all citizens of the world become aware and can engage in and influence implementation and realization of the SDGs at community, local, national, regional and global levels. It will provide tools and opportunities for all stakeholders to participate in the domestication of the possibilities on and around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the instrumentality of ADVOCACY through the following six focus areas: 1. Raise Awareness; 2. Increase Engagement; 3. Empower Stakeholders; 4. Promote & Coordinate Advocacy; 5. Create incentive to encourage young people to creatively get involved & 6. Ensure good governance and complete domestication of the SDGs at all levels.
