The Body Empowerment n’ Children’s Health (BENCH) Initiative seeks to tackle the physiological and psychological issues that affect youth in under-resourced communities. Excessive health risks, both physically and mentally, are prevalent among young individuals living in low-income neighborhoods or displaced communities. This is in part due to a lack of access to gyms and fitness equipment that promote healthier lifestyles and build supportive communities. BENCH will provide the youth with the proper facilities and training they need through the use of fundraising opportunities, online instructional support, covering gym memberships, and providing physical spaces for them to utilize. Our intent is to provide for their fitness endeavors and future generations so we can give everyone an equitable chance for a healthier life.
