Wright's Directory of Nottingham (1895 edition) listed Henry Binks, of 4 Ireton Square, as a brewer and shopkeeper. He did a roaring trade with the local workers who made the island the commercial centre of Nottingham for centuries.
More than one hundred and twenty years later, Binks is back. He may well be bemused by the worldliness of our menu, but we like to think he’d be right at home with our range of locally brewed beers and ales.
