In 2017, site owners Hargreaves Land successfully secured planning consent for more than 1,600 new homes at Blindwells. Proposals include social housing, education facilities, a healthcare hub, local retail outlets and many other services needed for a new community.
The master plan for the development provides an integrated and creative solution for an area which has already been identified for new homes, in the East Lothian Local Plan.
