BHD Ltd was formed into a Limited Company in 2004, making the transition from a Sole Practice which was originally set up in 1991. The Practice initially concentrated on New Housing development, building a Client base from contacts made within the housing industry where I had worked since qualifying. However, since that time the workload and fields of expertise have expanded to include education, commercial & industrial developments throughout the region.
The main focus of our work is within the housing industry for Developers on various sites in the South and Midlands as well as a variety of smaller projects for more local Clients as either single bespoke properties or small speculative developments of houses. We also have a strong emphasis and design experience in social housing with connections to Jephson (framework), Grand Union & Hanover Housing and with on going projects in the area.
Outside of housing we been involved in teh design of several industrial & commercial developments & also educational buildings; smaller school extensions and recently a special needs school for MacIntyre Care with a total contract value of £5,000,000.
The Company is served by a small team of experienced staff, Including a Code Assessor, which allows us to react to our Clients needs swiftly & efficiently and to offer the best advice on any project. Allied to this we have contacts with a range of Consultants in many fields of expertise that can be drawn together as a design team to serve the Client.
We also have excellent contacts with the Local Authority departments and Regulatory Agencies in this area and the NHBC which allow us to deal effectively with the various approval stages of development.
