Kim Koelewijn and Peter Schoenaerts met each other in 2005 in New York, where they were both living at the time. In the summer of 2018 they discovered that they had the same dream: publish socially relevant books. Less than a year later, their transatlantic dream came true. Peter now lives near Brussels and Kim still lives in Brooklyn, New York. Hence the name of their own publishing house: Boeklyn.
