Danish Business Economists (C3 ledelse og økonomi)) The Association was founded in 1954 as a non-profit and non-governmental professional organisation. Today, the Association has approx. 14.000 individual members with a nationwide distribution. The members are consisting of business professionals, -graduates and -students, primarily with with the co-educational background B.Sc. - M.Sc. MBA - Ph.D. - DBA and similar university based studies. Our member profiles cover mainly 3 areas, equal in size: • Sales and marketing • Accounting and finance • Organisation, human resource and general management The main objective of the Association is to secure the professional, economic and social interests of our members. Our aim is to raise the awareness of business economists in society, promote their business interests, and be a key player in the public debate. Due to a considerable coherence between companies’ and employees’ interests among our members, our activities are not focusing on traditional “principal versus employee” issues. Consequently the Association is not considered or registered as a trade union. Through our focus on the private business sector in combination with a nationwide individual membership structure, Danish Business Economists is the only professional organisation in Denmark with this unique profile serving political interests and catering for operational business questions. As key participant in the public debate we communicate with and respond to inquiry documents and draft hearings from the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation together with other major Danish public authorities and the European Commission.
