Café Canastra has 100% Arabica beans and has chocolatey and caramelized notes with a citrus finish. Planted at 1,250m altitude, in the Serra da Canastra region in Minas Gerais. In 1985, Mr. Belchior Boaventura and his wife Mrs. Conceição Boaventura started a coffee plantation on a small farm, in a region of cerrado, in the municipality of Patrocínio/MG, known as Chapadão de Iron. The couple's son, Silvio Boaventura, enters the coffee market changing the business vision from quantity to high quality in order to meet demanding markets such as the USA, Japan and Europe.With the good acceptance for high quality coffees, we were looking for new frontiers that would allow a new phase of growth. We found in Serra da Canastra region in Minas Gerais two unique characteristics: altitude and terroir. In 2015, we decided to chart a new path: observing the demand of the Brazilian public to know special coffees, we planned the marketing of the roasted product, whether ground or in grains and also in capsules. This is how Café Canastra was born: one of the best products in the market, straight from the farm to your table, with a focus on quality, innovation and respect for our consumer.
