Wij zijn Café in de Smitse, een bruine kroeg op Campus Woudestein van de Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam. Opgericht als stichting in 1996 en sindsdien vol passie gedreven door én voor studenten. Al die tijd weten wij, 25 barvrijwilligers aangestuurd door een vierkoppig bestuur, het voor elkaar te spelen om ieder jaar weer te groeien, ongeacht de economische omstandigheden. Onze student-bestuurders durven het aan om ondernemend te zijn en zich gedurende een jaar of zelfs langer vol in te zetten voor de stichting en haar bruine café.
Alle faculteiten worden vertegenwoordigd in het bestuur en het tappersteam wat ons tot een echt campuscafé maakt. In 2013 zijn wij uitgeroepen tot Hertog Jan Vriendenkring Café van het jaar en inmiddels zijn wij uitgegroeid tot een degelijke en gezonde onderneming die goed bekend staat op de gehele campus.
