LI-Fi refers to a brand new type of efficient technology complementing Wi-Fi via LED's that delivers a networked, mobile, high-speed communication solution at speeds up to 10 times faster than traditional Wi-Fi.
Li-Fi also has the advantage of being able to be used in electromagnetic sensitive areas such as inside planes and submarines, operating theaters and any other places where there is LED light without causing interference. The light waves used cannot penetrate walls which makes Li-Fi significantly more secure relative to Wi-Fi but at the same time can boost speeds and complement an existing Wi-Fi network.
