Brandskader er et globalt sundhedsproblem og er den mest glemte folkesundhedskrise i lav- og middelindkomstlande. Især børn bærer den største byrde.
I Care4Burn ønsker vi at forbedre livskvaliteten til børn med svære forbrændinger Tanzania.
Det gør vi ved at styrke lokale kirurger og sygeplejerskers sundhedsfaglige kompetencer indenfor sårbehandling og brandsårskirurgi ved af facilitere undervisning, ved at sponsorere livsnødvendige patientbehandlinger til børn, hvis forældre ikke har økonomiske ressourcer til at betale for deres barns behandling samt ved at sikre adgang til nødvendig kirurgisk udstyr til moderne brandsårsbehandling.
På nuværende tidspunkt er vi engageret ved Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre i Moshi.
Care4Burn er en velgørende og frivillig dansk organisation.
Care4Burn blev formelt stiftet af Karianne W. Fjære i 2017 efter 9 års personlig engagement - efter mødet med Faraja, en 6-år gammel pige med livstruende forbrændinger i 2008.
