CASK Karate Halifax offers karate classes for all levels in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The school was founded in 2014 and teaches Wado Karate, one of the largest styles of karate in the world. Wado means "way to peace" and was developed in Japan by Hironori Otsuka, combining traditional Okinawan karate with techniques from jujitsu. CASK Karate Halifax is a member of the Wado Karate Association of Canada and Karate Nova Scotia. The Canadian Associated Schools of Karate, of which CASK Karate Halifax is a part, was founded in 1982 and has locations throughout Canada and the Caribbean. Master Greg Reid, 8th Dan, is the technical director for Wado Canada and the successor to the late Master Masaru Shintani, 9th Dan.
