Catalina is a Buenos Aires born, non-stop traveller for many years since very young, polo player, horse passionate. As a child she divided her summers between the city, her french style grandparent’s hotel “Le Chateau” and the farm. Her father being a polo player was a vital part of her upbringing. She grew up surrounded by family, nature, cultural events, but mainly horses, polo ponies and the breeding. This last became her biggest passion and obsession above all, since she was 7 years old. In one of her most important life changing travels, she became friends with a very special princess which taught her how to hand embroidery. Catalina certainly confirms that this event in her life was her starting point for a new vision in her future. In between her professional polo, she studied in London Business Management Administration and Fashion & retail business in London College of fashion. She has done what she calls “ArtClutches” for many years now. She developed many of her initial work creating small clutches, in between travels and polo seasons, for friends only. As a world traveller, Catalina has always collected and sourced herself with special items, precious little things, fabrics, stones, beads, unique antique pieces, collective items, from different destinations across the world. THE BRAND Catalinamanzorro.com has become her universe today, her own world, where her source of inspiration to create, are her unforgettable life experiences around the globe, the horses, their language, the breeding, the farm, nature, the sun, and sea, “the authenticity of life itself”. Her evolvement as a designer is influenced by her tenacity for building and creating. Her creations are characterized by believing that the parts of something are intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the hole. For her, the importance equally lies in the conception of each piece. Each artclutch has it’s own DNA, it’s own unique story and soul behind it’s craftsmanship.
