Celebration Planner was officially launched on the 3rd April 2018, but the story doesn't start there. Back in 2007 when Elliott had his mobile disco business, he had a small idea which grew and developed as time passed. The idea quickly became one of epic proportion and at the time he had no idea where to start. Elliott has worked in the entertainment industry all his life and understands how difficult it can be for small businesses to get noticed in a growing marketplace and with the booming gig economy, we face today. Having worked across the industry undertaking different roles, Elliott has been the self-employed one-man band, to being part of large event team delivering large-scale public events, music festivals and even a royal visit. With a gap in the market for this type of service and with the advances in technology and online shopping, the idea for Celebration Planner kept popping up. Finally, in 2016 Elliott knew he had to start building it and in April that year, Elliott met with Nick who agreed to join the team. In November 2016, Elliott and Nick took Celebration Planner to the Google Startup Weekend in Manchester. They spent the weekend formulating and refining the business and then pitched to a panel of business professionals. After a very close competition, Celebration Planner won! It was at this point, Celebration Planner was born. They quickly realised the challenge they faced and since then have been working tirelessly the create what you see today. The platform and marketplace for Suppliers to advertise and manage their business, and for Planners to search, plan and book their next party. As the company grows the ideas Elliott had back in 2007 are finally being developed and implemented for you to enjoy and make planning your next party easy, simple and hassle-free.
