CHITREC has been helping providers in our community since 2009 when the Office of National Coordinator for HIT provided funding for the establishment of regional extension centers as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Since then, CHITREC has stayed true to our roots – bringing Chicago together through health IT.
Based at the Center for Health Information Partnerships (CHiP) within Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, CHITREC is entirely funded by grants that enable us to provide free-of-charge support to small and large practices around the city.
