Zes jaar geleden begon de organisatie met het eerste gratis dance event op Koninginnedag in Eindhoven. Het concept sloeg enorm aan en groeide snel. In 2008 werden vier festivals georganiseerd en voor 2009 staan er nu al minimaal 18 steden op de agenda waarbij wordt gerekend op een gemiddelde van 12.000 bezoekers per evenement. Steden die op de planning van 2009 staan, zijn o.a.: Almere, Alkmaar, Arnhem, Assen, Breda, Delft, Den Haag, Doetinchem, Eindhoven, Goes, Heerlen, Leeuwarden, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Zoetermeer en Zwolle. Het grootschalige Citydance trekt veel bezoekers vanwege de indrukwekkende line up en de gratis toegang. De tijden van elk festival zijn van één uur tot middernacht. Bij de festivals staat Dance en club muziek centraal. Onder aanvoering van (inter)nationale DJ’s wordt het publiek gedurende 10 tot 11 uur vermaakt met geweldige muziek.
