CIWiLTT Chapter, Established July 1, 2020
The CIWiL Trinidad and Tobago National Chapter is an affiliate of CIWiL and they elect their own officers, and establish their own work plan within the CIWiL framework. This is in accordance with the vision, mission, objectives and policies common to all CIWiL bodies.
National Chapters work with individual women & organisations committed to Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment in Trinidad and Tobago and throughout the Caribbean region. They lead critical work on gender equality & women's leadership within their various countries & are directly subject to CIWiL's Constitution, By-Laws, Chapter Policy, and its Regional Board of Directors
OBJECTIVES:
•Promote and strengthen gender equality and women’s rights in the
Caribbean
•Advocate for transformative politics and policy-making
•Support women in leadership and decision-making politics to hasten the transformation of politics and governance towards the achievement of sustainable development in the Caribbean
MISSION: To drive the advancement of Caribbean women in leadership, at the national and regional levels, through advocacy, partnership, sisterliness, mentorship, training, and development.
VISION: An organisation that enables Caribbean women to realise gender equality and equity for sustainable, transformational leadership
